Words are great. But bad copy can ruin them.
A bit like driving a 23' plate Lamborghini with signage that reads 'dog poo scooping services!'
Don't ruin a good thing.
What I do.
When I tell people I provide professional copywriting, editing, and proofreading services, they glaze over. Right. When an individual or organisation needs a little assistance with their virtual voice, I create uplifting, easy-to-follow, engaging copy that will resonate with their audience. My job is to make sure that grammar is impeccable and error-free (poor grammar isn't cool and can really put people off!), and identify the best tone for your project.

Proofreading is a process of reading drafted work that you have created. I check for errors (and common grammar mistakes) and return your piece to you. I won't change any passages (unless you want me to), I'll just highlight and correct any mistakes and pop you on the right track.

Editing is similar to proofreading but is generally a more thorough process. I will make suggestions for a more comfortable overall read and potentially shift a few paragraphs around.

Copywriting involves a fresh write from the off! You send me a brief, I create the work.
Need a blog outlining the joys of AI in engineering? The gut implications of eating pickles before bed?
No stress! I've got you covered. Copywriting is the most detailed of all aspects of my work, but also the most popular for overworked professionals. Your requirements are likely to vary between long form (anything over 1,000 words) and short form (short blogs, social media, eshots/newsletters, web copy...).

The bar has risen and companies are under more pressure than ever to both deliver and maintain excellence to their followers. Don't let poor grammar, ill-reading dialogue, and clunky copy be the reason that someone eliminates you from their buying list.! That would be really silly!
Websites
Your website is the window to your passion or livelihood. Intellectual and well-presented copy is essential in demonstrating your professionalism, as well as a friendly undertone that encourages collaboration. I listen to your words, digest your mission, consider your genre then tap away to create rich words that embrace your readers. Words are beautiful, and your shop-window is the perfect place to model them.
Blogs
Blogging is one of my favourite things to do. Whether I'm highlighting the risk factors associated with safeguarding, advising on health and safety matters for commercial washrooms, encouraging sustainability or outlining the benefits of biophilic design for wellbeing, my voice adapts to the required undertone. Tone is everything within copy; your audience need to know that you emphasise with their plight.
SEO Keywords
The modern world of technology; a convoluted headache. Your copy requires SEO keywords comprising optimal word counts that magnify your presence within a global cyber-universe. I can't promise to take the headache away, but I can ensure that I will research and include popular industry-related important keywords so that your content hits all the right spots and converts.
Other Services
Include website content, CV editing, email marketing (newsletters), brochures, emails, magazine adverts and articles, video scripts, content marketing, social media content, ebooks, sales copy and product descriptions.

My Story
I have something of a diverse background. My childhood was deeply embedded in reading and writing; I knew all about The Works of Shakespeare at the tender age of ten. My love of the arts led me to train and later become a professional actress which was 'colourful' to say the least. Later in life, I decided to take on a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Crime and Terrorism; yeah - I'm that person that wants to do everything. All of it! I firmly believe that a good writer requires rich and versatile experience of which I'm confident to say that I've encountered. Performing Arts-to-Science is something of a mind-blowing challenge, but it's made my writing incredibly rounded. I can be quite funny, very serious and all the other stuff in-between. Clever me, eh.
Writing has always been with me. I've written screenplays, children's books, a novel and am a professional copywriter. It sounds superbly corny to say 'I love my job', but sometimes, you just have to be honest with yourself. Anyway, this section is a little too 'me' centered and it's making me twitch, so I'll leave it there.
